Adapt a Roblox game
This route reimplements the project’s rules, assets, and layout in a browser engine. .rbxl and Lua files cannot be uploaded as a playable static game. Ball Game’s snippets are not a general Roblox converter.
Inspect the original
In Roblox Studio, open your .rbxl, play the core flow, then stop. Inventory scripts, Workspace, avatar appearance, UI, and dependencies on accounts, saves, multiplayer, and other platform services.
| Original | Browser implementation |
|---|---|
| Character appearance | Reuse models/textures you have permission to export, or reconstruct the appearance |
| Controls and camera | Input, movement, jumping, animation, collision, and following |
| Scenes and materials | Load or rebuild assets and layout; configure materials and collision |
| Lua rules | Understand the behavior and implement it with the new engine’s APIs |
| Platform/server services | Design replacements separately; the example covers single-player only |
Choose Three.js, Cocos, PlayCanvas, or another engine to suit the team and game. Three.js + cannon-es + Vite is Ball Game’s choice, not a Combos requirement. Rebuilding character behavior does not mean redrawing all art.
Rebuild and compare
Implement one complete gameplay loop first, then characters, scenes, camera, UI, and required services. Compare appearance, layout, controls, and rules with the original. Retune friction, mass, and damping after changing physics engines. Document omissions and substitutions.
Ask your Agent to inspect and play the original, list reusable assets and runtime behavior to rebuild, preserve recognizable characters and scenery, and verify the core loop before building. Do not mechanically translate Lua or copy Ball Game’s coordinates and WinPiece rule into unrelated games.
Build and publish
Generate static output using the new project’s own commands, then test and publish. Roblox client and server capabilities do not migrate automatically. For a reproducible starting point, download the full Ball Game example.
