Quick start
Define the player’s action, the feedback, and the goal. For example: tap a target, see the score rise, and score as much as possible before time runs out.
Start with one HTML file. This interaction example does not call a Combos API:
index.html
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" />
<title>My first interaction</title>
<button id="target">Tap me</button>
<p aria-live="polite">Score: <span id="score">0</span></p>
<script>
let score = 0;
document.querySelector("#target").addEventListener("click", () => {
score += 1;
document.querySelector("#score").textContent = String(score);
});
</script>
</html>Save and open the file in a browser. Clicking should increase the score. Add a timer, moving target, or visual response one at a time, keeping a working version between changes.
Watch a new player try the first action. Check readable text, reachable touch controls, and the layout on a phone. Use the preview checklist, then follow publishing.
